THE MODPACK
ODYSSEY utilizes over 60 unique mods to create a truly incomparable experience. The mods included in the pack range from adding biomes, mobs, and dungeons, to automating resource production and flying warplanes.
Due to copyright policies, a few of the mods included in the full version of the modpack (single-player) could not be adapted to multi-player. Thus, the modpack has a different version for multiplayer that comes without Lots O' Mobs, OceanCraft, FlooCraft, and Natura. It's still tons of fun though!
Single-player Multi-player
WINDOWS INSTALLATION GUIDE:
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE TECHNIC LAUNCHER:
1. Open the launcher and click "add new pack" on the right side
2. Click the link button and copy the platform URL
3. Paste it into the slot in the launcher
4. Click "add new pack"
5. Click play!
IF NOT:
1. Go to http://www.technicpack.net/download
2. Click the appropriate download button
3. Follow the setup instructions
4. Follow the above instructions
IF YOU GET AN ERROR THAT SAYS "This pack requires a directory outside of C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\.technic":
1. Hit select
2. From the dropdown at the top of the screen select "roaming", then "new folder"
3. Call it "Mods"
4. Click open
MAJOR MODS
Bolded mod names are linked to either a description page on this site or to the mod's development page.
MCHeli- Adds planes, helicopters, turrets, drones, parachutes, missiles, torpedos, you name it. Its like Flan's, but better!
Plenty O' Biomes- Adds a ridiculous amount of new biomes!
Witchery- Feel as though Minecraft is somewhat lacking in the area of magic? We got you covered!
Familiars (SP VERSION ONLY)- Tame a little buddy to assist you with stuff! There is an in-game guide that tells you how to work this one.
Ferullo's Gun Mod- Lots and lots of guns and explosives! (NOTE: Due to a bug, not all the guns listed on the wiki appear in the modpack, but most do. The wiki tells you how to make the guns first, then refined iron, then the parts. It's a bit confusing, but it's all there.)
MineFactory Reloaded & Buildcraft- Automate ALL the things!
TelePads (MP VERSION ONLY)- Adds teleportation pads that let you teleport to any other pad in your network!
Mr. Crayfish's Furniture Mod- All kinds of pretty and extremely functional furniture!
Natura (SP VERSION ONLY)- Adds more plants than you know what to do with! Its nature on steroids!
Better Dungeons- A vast variety of castles, dungeons, and ships to explore and raid, all of which are packed with enemies, treasure, and powerful bosses
Grimoire of Gaia 2- Did you think Minecraft was getting a bit too easy? Don't worry. We fixed that. (NOTE: This wiki categorizes the creatures by biome. Due to the different world generation of Lots O' Biomes, we have altered the mod so that the creatures will spawn in biomes similar to the ones listed on the wiki.)
Lava Monsters- Just when you thought lava was dangerous enough...
Meat Hooks- Kill those cows, pigs, and chickens, then take them home, skin them, and slice 'em up!
Barrels- Store thousands of stacks of the same item! Try placing an item frame on one and see what happens!
FlooCraft (SP VERSION ONLY)- Bring out your inner wizard and travel by Floo Powder!
Plant MegaPack- Natura on steroids!
OceanCraft (SP VERSION ONLY)- Goodbye boring oceans! Go diving for clams, harvest seaweed, collect shells on the beach, or go whaling!
Lots O' Mobs (SP VERSION ONLY)- Adds crabs, bears, turtles, fish, birds, you name it! Its like Mo' Creatures, but better! It also adds two new dimensions: The Dino Dimensions, and the Ice Age Dimension, each complete with the animals and biomes you'd expect to find there! (NOTE: Due to a weird generation bug, these mobs very rarely spawn. Sorry...)
Damage Indicators- Tells you what on earth that thing is you're looking at and how likely it is to kill you!
